Founding Executive Director
about Bernice
Bernice Tang is the Founder and Executive Director of Ontario Saves Lives, a youth-led nonprofit making lifesaving health education accessible to every Ontarian. Inspired by the loss of a family member to cardiac arrest when no trained bystanders were present, she launched OSL to close critical gaps in CPR, AED, and Naloxone training.

Under her leadership, OSL has trained hundreds of students, delivered free workshops in schools and shelters, created a coalition of university EMS chapters, and successfully advocated for expanded AED access across the province.

Her work has been recognized with the National Keva Garg Memorial Award, the Conrad Innovation Challenge Innovator Award (later returning as a judge), and invitations to present her research at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women Civil Society Forum.
Through her role as Executive Director, she is confident that OSL will make revolutionary strides in health education to improve the quality of life of all Ontarians.
